2) DIRECTIONS AFTER TOLL BOOTH: Click Here for Picture , Click Here for Link to Forum

Once you enter the park you must follow directions for FIELD 1. Bear left at the fork for Feild 1. After you pass the sign for Field 1 bear to the right and follow the road all the way down. We will be parked towards the back right hand section closest to the picnic tables and beach area. So if you want to go swimming bring your trunks and bikinis. Thanks to Rob (NYT) for going to the park and getting the pictures =)

From North Queens (LGA Airport) / New York City

1) Take Grand Central Parkway (East) / Astoria Blvd (East) or Northern Blvd (East) (Route 25A) towards Whitestone Expressway (Click Here for Image)
2) From the Whitestone Expressway you can take the Cross Island Parkway (Staying on the two left lanes at the fork, if you stay on the two right lanes you will go over the Whitestone Bridge and wind up in the Boogie Down Bronx)
3) Take Cross Island Parkway to the end, following signs for the Southern State Parkway (Click Here for Image) (Staying on the two left lanes on the Cross Island. Warning: There is a very sharp turn there so take it easy )
4) Take Southern State Parkway till the last exit , follow signs for Heckscher State Park (Click HEre for Image) (Southern State becomes Heckscher Parkway at exit 41a, to the left is Sunken Meadows and to the right is Heckscher)
5) Admission is $8 per vehicle (Not per person)

From Bronx / Newburgh / WestChester / Albany

1) Find your way down to either of these two bridges. Take the Whitestone Bridge or the Throgs Neck Bridge to the Cross Island Parkway (Click Here for Image)
2) Take Cross Island Parkway to the end, following signs for the Southern State Parkway (Click Here for Image) (Staying on the two left lanes on the Cross Island. Warning: There is a very sharp turn there so take it easy )
3) Take Southern State Parkway till the last exit , follow signs for Heckscher State Park (Click HEre for Image) (Southern State becomes Heckscher Parkway at exit 41a, to the left is Sunken Meadows and to the right is Heckscher)

From Central Queens / New Jersey Via I-495 (LIE)

1) Take Long Island Expressway to Exit 53 Towards Sagtikos Parkway (Click Here for Image)
2) Take Sagtikos Parkway South (Click Here for Image)
3) Follow Signs for the Heckscher Parkway towards Heckscher State Park (Click Here for Image)
4) Admission is $8 per vehicle (Not per person)

From South Queens / Staten Island

1) Take Belt Parkway (East) towards Southern State Parkway (East) (Click Here for Image)
2) Take Southern State Parkway till the last exit , follow signs for Heckscher State Park (Click HEre for Image) (Southern State becomes Heckscher Parkway at exit 41a, to the left is Sunken Meadows and to the right is Heckscher)
